MENTAL HEALTH CLUSTER: DISCUSSION SESSION #1
In recent months, we have heard a lot about cases of violence. In Indonesia, to mention some, a high-rank police officer killed his own staff, a government officer’s son tortured a teenager, some road users threatened and intimidated other road users, and so on. Even in the UK, we have heard of several stabbing and murder cases. This raises the question: why can humans commit violence and act aggressively toward each other?
We invite you to come and discuss this issue with us at the Mental Health Cluster Discussion Session:
WHY HUMANS CHOOSE VIOLENCE
Discussion Starters:
1. Silfana Nasri (PhD in Sociology, University of Surrey; Gender, Inclusion & Psychosocial Specialist)
2. Aditya Putra Kurniawan (PhD in Nursing, University of Manchester; Lecturer at Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta)
