Rethinking ‘the international’: unearthing symbolic violence and inequality
- 21 July 2023 16:00 BST
Is a rational state a fact or fiction? Have international relations always been centred around states? Have we been too immersed in our reification of world politics that we are unaware of the consequences of over abstraction? How should we analyse and think of the international? You are invited to join us in our Bourdieu Cluster Monthly Discussion as we explore how the French sociologist helps us rethink our perspective of international relations and force us to take it to a different level: one which takes discourse, practice, and reflexivity seriously.
